Tishreen protesters produced a physical artistic repertoire that furnished the walls, subways, and concrete barriers in the public sphere. Hundreds of murals, graffiti, and drawings mushroomed in protest squares, visualising an aesthetic counter narrative to the discourse of division, and fragmentation. This website archives the street- based art produced in the Tishreen protest movement (2019-2020). Aiming at keeping a visual history of Tishreen Art, SEPAD Tishreen Art website calls activists- artists who produced any form of street-based art in Tishreen to share photos, footage, or short videos of their artistic production. Documenting the art of Tishreen means keeping the continuation of its transformative moment alive.
