Thomas McGee is a PhD researcher at the Peter McMullin Centre on Statelessness in Melbourne Law School. His research focuses on Syria’s changing statelessness landscape. Speaking Arabic and Kurdish, Thomas has worked for a decade as an analyst and adviser on humanitarian and development programmes implemented in Syria and with the UN Refugee Agency in Iraq. Thomas is also currently the MENA Coordinator at the European University Institute's Global Citizenship Observatory (Globalcit) and co-coordinator of the MENA Statelessness Network (Hawiati).
