Dr. Hadeel Abdelhameed is a Konrad Adenauer- Stiftung research fellow in Iraqi women’s contribution to political and electoral processes. Her research interest is interdisciplinary, focusing on Iraqi gender performance in social movements, and investigating the politics of space in reconstructing gender identities. She was conferred her doctorate from La Trobe University 2019; her doctoral research was a comparative study in Iraqi and Australian gender politics and theatre about war. Dr. Abdelhameed is published in Cambridge Core, KAS, The Journal of Iraqi and Arab Studies, and Australian Institute of International Affairs.
