Dr Adel Ruished holds a PhD in Politics and International Relations from Lancaster University. His PhD thesis was titled The Disruption of Identification in East Jerusalem post-Oslo 1993. He has co-authored and published States of Exception or Exceptional States (IB Tauris) and contributed to several SEPAD reports. His current research looks at the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. More fundamentally he is looking at the impact of contested political programs on the daily life of Palestinians after the Oslo peace accords. He holds a Masters Degree in Global Politics from the LSE. Adel has served for 20 years as Governmental Relations Officer and Administrative Director for the Jerusalem Campus at Al Quds University in East Jerusalem.
